If you've ever wondered what you should be doing when you retire, this mom has totally figured it out. She spends her winters volunteering at a sea turtle rescue center in south Texas, and a few days ago, she has helped them rescue over 1000 turtles (and counting!). They even rescued a turtle over 100 years old!

We're so amazed by her work and so happy that her daughter decided to share these amazing achievements with everyone on twitter. These tweets went viral, as they should have, and hopefully, they inspired others to do some good too! We wish them many, many more successful rescues. And for all the lovely turtles that they rescued, we hope they have an amazing new life!

Of all the things to come out of this Valentines day, we sure as heck did not expect a viral thread about a cow chasing someone down the street. Still, we will accept this unexpected animal viral thread with open arms and simply assume that... maybe the cow just wanted you to be their valentine. 

Honestly, getting chased by a cow sounds terrifying, and we totally understand the intense panic that can be felt through these unintentionally hilarious tweets. Hey, if a cow started chasing us, we would have lost it too. Cows are normally totally loving friendly cuties, we assure you of that, but apparently, some animals just have a hilarious dark side sometimes. 

If you're a cat owner, then there is no doubt in our mind that you have seen your cat doing some weeeeird things. Of course, that doesn't make you love them any less than before, if anything, their strangeness is what makes them special. You don't question it. All you do is snap a picture and enjoy it while it lasts. Oh, and tweet about how weird your cat is of course. 

Just remember, although your cat's behavior is strange, that cat is your strange cat, and if it likes licking walls sometimes... rather than trying to teach it to stop doing it, just make sure your walls are clean for its enjoyment. Cat have many talents, we know that. Those include staring at walls, sitting in anything that'll fit them, sleeping in the strangest positions, zooming in the middle of the night and many more. But apparently, white cats have an extra talent, and that is the ability to turn into a purrefctly cooked sunny side up egg with the help of but one accessory - an orange.

Twitter user, @andlikelaura, despite seemingly being very tired, had enough energy to bring together a collection of pictures of adorable baby animals yawning. Oh, 'We Rate Dogs.' where would we be without you? We don't even want to know, more than ever has this Twitter page been delivering the happiness we so desperately want to see in the world. It's honestly no surprise to us that that form of happiness involves animals, animals are pure magic and have the power to bring light even when it feels most dark. 

Dog rates are one of the few pleasures in life and we like to milk it for all that it's worth in order to bring you the happiness they bring us. 

Oh, these poor birds. Can you imagine being a bird, looking up what type of bird you are only to discover you're named something like, "Demonic Squealer" or "Lonely Sad Loser?" OK, so maybe these names don't really exist but the bird names below are real and are mean! Whoever named these birds, yes, it's funny but it's also downright bullying. Thankfully, birds can't look themselves up to be hurt by these names. 

...For all we know that is. If any bird were able to figure out how to operate a computer, it would be the Corvidae family, which contains crows, ravens, rooks, magpies, etc.

Pet rent - one of the silliest concepts we've ever heard of. Truly, how can you charge my cat rent if she's unemployed, huh? I mean, that's why she's living with me. Realistically, had she been able to find a job, she would have moved out of my house and taken her independence to the next level a long, long time ago. 

For real though, pet rent and pet rent deposits are such a weird concept, and twitters users definitely agree with that. That's why they like joking about it, we think. Joke through the pain, friends, there is no other option.

A new day, a new twitter discovery. This time, we found a twitter account dedicated to nothing but reasons why everyone should have ducks, and we are so not mad at it. This may be the best thing to happen in 2021 so far. A Texas lawyer entered a court hearing over the popular video conference app, ZOOM, accidentally having activated a cat filter. Of course, the incident soon went viral on Twitter and everyone can't get enough of the hilarious mishap. In the video, Attorney Rod Ponton struggles to deactivate the adorable and silly kitten filter, Judge Roy B. Ferguson can be heard trying to help Ponton saying, "Mr. Ponton, I believe you have a filter turned on in your video settings." 

Upon hearing this, Ponton reassures the judge that he is there to live and that he is in fact not a cat. Honestly, you just have to see it because it's simply too good. 

Cats are awesome. Period. Inarguable. Anyone who truly hates on cats has obviously never actually hung out with one. And twitter has decided that it is time for all of us - cat ladies and gentlemen - to assemble and defend out little felines... you know, those felines who totally didn't rip your curtain or step on your sandwich earlier. It's time! We must defend them.

People misunderstand cats, that's the obvious explanation for all the cat hate. Cats simply love and show affection differently, and the people who don't bother learning the way cats show love think that cats are cold-hearted. To us, cat lovers, cats being loving is a mere fact that needs no explanation, so of course, we'll defend them when we are needed.

It's Mondaaaaay! The best day of the week, right, guys? No, not because you get to start a new work week or school week and be a productive human being. No, no. Losing your pet is a different kind of pain. And you know that you love that thing so much, you'll do anything in your capabilities to get them back. So, when you're walking your dog, and it somehow gets you to let go of the leash and sprints off full speed, your first instinct is most likely to run after them, because you're not losing them. Only that when you do that... they might just think you're playing and run faster. 

After a tweet went viral, people on twitter shared their own stories of running after their dogs while the dogs think they're a game. Luckily though, in most of those stories, the owners either stopped running and had the dog come back to them or the doggo full-on trolled them and just ran back home.
