"I was driving along when I see this deer struggling to survive. I felt obligated to help her, so I pulled over, trekked through the woods, and crawled out onto the ice. I used a rope to pull her out. I am so glad she is safe. Now we need to find her mom.

Update: A lot of people have asked about her now. I never thought it would get so much interest. This video is a chronicle of our time together, which I finished making a while ago. Subsequent to making the video, I had to travel a lot, and struggled with keeping her where I was living. A saviour stepped in and helped look after Pegs while I tried to make a plan and she moved back and forth, which was disruptive for her. After months of no solution, it was obvious that her new set up with incredible love, a bigger garden and a new best friend in Luna, another great dane was more than I could offer. I am lucky that I get to visit and take her for short periods, and maybe that's why in my heart she's still with me. It’s always difficult. If the dog is happier, do you forsake your happiness? I think yes. If a dog is negligently bred, should it be killed to prevent more negligent breeding? I think no. Who's to say. In the end we try our best and our pets teach us lessons about love, humility and non-judgment.

Last month we saw a hero dog save his master who he thought was drowning.
Now we have this man, who bashed through ice to rescue a drowning dog from a frozen river in Russia.
The video is actually from March 2014, as some Reddit users have pointed out since the video started making its way around online.
The 21-year old man who saved the dog is a mill worker named Ivan. After the rescue, the dog ran away, but Ivan ran into him again at a store where he was buying some vodka.
He then adopted the dog whom he named Rex.

They didn't know how or why... but there they were abandoned in a neighbor's yard. I shook my head. Called a good rescue friend. And took out the camera.
She recently had puppies… and now she was nursing two small kittens. Caring for them as if they were her own. Protecting them and teaching them. Compassionate and loving. And doing all the motherly things. And happy to have the job.

This gentleman found an injured female fox on his property and took her in to heal. She made a great recovery, but grew so attached to the man that she didn't want to leave. Now, the fox and the man are best friends.
After discovering two deer trapped on a frozen lake, a man called his father for help to save the exhausted animals from the slippery ice.
Since their rescue last week from under the electrified third rail of an above-ground express track in Brooklyn, the gray-striped and black kitties have found themselves the stars of Steven Liu's website, Scratching Pad.
