What Would Humans Look Like if They Evolved From Different Animals

French painter, art theorist and philosopher Charles Le Brun, along with other disciplines, took an interest in the study of physiognomy, i.e. the study of the relationship between facial features and character. In his work, ''Treatise on facial expression,'' Le Brun depicted fascinating images showing what humans would have looked like if they had evolved from different animals. The result of the painter's fantasy are really quite bizarre, but well worth a look. Via: Brightside

The Differences Between Human Vision And Cat Vision in 6 Comparison Photos

How do cats really see the world? To answer this question, Nickolay Lamm has created pictures comparing our vision with the vision of cats, with the help of specialists, veterinarians and other animal ophthalmologists, to compile what we know about the vision of cats: cats have a visual field of 200 degrees compared to humans 180 degrees. Their visual acuity is limited to only 6 meters, while it is 30 to 60 meters for humans. Cats see fewer colors and details than humans, but distinguish much better movement and also see six to eight times better at night than humans. Via: Ufunk

Artist Transforms Human Hands Into Amazing Animals

Remember the shadow puppets you use to create as a child? Wouldn't they have been so much cooler if they actually LOOKED like the animals you were pretending your hands to be? Well, if you're the children of Italian artist Guido Daniele, you're lucky enough to have that privilege! He's the immensely talented painter behind these images of animals meticulously painted onto the human hand - each takes about 4 hours to complete. Breathtaking!

Adorable Cats And Dogs Acting Like Humans 100 Years Ago

Apparently, The LOLcat is not a new phenomenon ;)

These amazingly sharp photographs of kittens and pups are a century old, but their humor and appeal is timeless, as the Internet has proven again and again. Photographer Harry Whittier Frees, born in 1879, began a career in cute-animal photography in 1906, building out a small studio to produce postcards, calendars, and children's books. Here's a collection of Frees's work from June 1914.
