We don't quite know what to make of this special family but all we know is that we're obsessed and need more. 

Bob and Marley are both golden retrievers with a huge Instagram following, and they also have a huge family. And when we say family, we don't mean a bunch of little golden pups running around. We mean a blended family, a family that consists of multiple birds, and a hamster. What's the most impressive thing about this unique family is their calm interaction with each other. So calm that their owner can line them us for incredible photographs like the images below.

There are moments when you look at a picture and feel absolutely speechless. There's just so much in it, so many options, so many stories running through your head, so many feelings coming through that one image. Words are not enough to describe it, not even 1000 words.

This is so incredibly sweet!

Mr. Pelican was first found on Chambers Island in Maroochydore, Queensland, constantly getting in trouble. He would get entangled in fishing lines, and would constantly need help. As Twinnies Pelican and Seabird Rescue, in Australia, continued to come to aid him, one day that came to find him missing a wing due to a severe injury, and was taken into Twinnies Sanctuary. 

Since then, Mr. Pelican has found a partner and has been trying to have a baby. For six years, Mr. Pelican and his partner have been trying, they would dutifully watch and sit on their eggs, share the incubation period together, and no egg would ever hatch. 

Until now. This past September, when a caretaker at Twinnies placed a fellow pelican's egg within Mr. Pelican's nest, and it hatched. 

Twinnies stated on their Facebook page, "Mr. Percival has never given up trying to have a baby pelican chick. We felt so sorry for him as it's so sad when he's seen the others around him seeing baby pelicans. So we did this amazing thing for him as we wanted to make him really happy this time."

We're here to ruffle some feathers the only way we know how -- bird memes. There's something different when it comes to bird memes, just seems hit different, to go to its own beat. And that beat is usually that of a mad man. 

Dog memes are silly and pure, and cat memes are magical and hilarious but bird memes... bird memes are another level of madness. Birds don't give a blep about anyone or anything (except food), and that emotion is translated into their memes. Bird memes are scandalous and we love every single of it.

The legendary phoenix. No one has ever obviously seen one so it's up to our imaginations as to how they would look. I don't know about you, but I often imagine the phoenix as a peacock, but without the explosion of colorful feathers, and redder. Oh, and on fire. Maybe that's only due to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Who knows. 

One thing we do know is that being on fire seems to be a common denominator for a majority of these hilarious re-imagined birds as a phoenix. When an anonymous Tumblr user asked the question, "Fawkes the Phoenix was based on a harpy eagle, how cute would a kestrel phoenix be with a peacock tail and train?" Thus, a giant and hilarious thread was born! Filled with drawings so you don't have to imagine what they're imagining.

Some pictures are simply too incredible to be described in anything less than 1000 words. Every week, we bring you some of these pictures. There's so much story within them, whether it's a story of unique animals, 'caught in the act' moments, unexpected relationships, or scheming cats. 

Each of these pictures has a story behind it that we wish we would know. But since most of the times a picture is just a picture, and we don't know what happened to bring such a moment into existence, all we have left to do is imagine. And imagine we do. 

I suspect the reason that this hedgehog is attacking a toy dinosaur is because it's feeling the prehistoric instincts it has from the time during which the hedgehog was the big predator, and the dinosaur was the prickly cutie. But hey, your theory is just as correct as mine.

Uh-oh! Lincolnshire Wildlife Park had to separate five foul-mouthed parrots after they learned some colorful language and began to egg each other on to be offensive in from of visitors. 

The five parrots in trouble are named Billy, Eric, Tyson, Jade, and Elsie. Actually, the five sound like a pretty cool crew. Too cool for us to join though, however. All five parrots joined the Lincolnshire Wildlife Centre of 200 grey parrots back in August. CEO of the wildlife park, Steve Nichols told PA, "We saw it very quickly; we are quite used to parrots swearing but we've never had five at the same time. Most parrots clam up outside, but for some reason, these five relish it."

The swearing parrots have been separated into different locations of the park so they wouldn't encourage each other and set one another off. 

Steve Nichols also mentions that no one has actually complained about the swearing parrots, but many the decision to be cautious and wary of their young visitors.

Oh, that Jenny Jinya. She never fails at ripping our hearts out. 

The talented artist who has a gift at tugging on people's heartstrings has returned with another heartbreaking comic. If you aren't familiar with Jinya's work, they all feature neglect to animals. It's sometimes hard to digest but there is a powerful meaning and message behind every story she tells. 

Stories of dogs, cats, birds, elephants, you name it, Jenny Jinya will tell it and leave you punched right in the feels.  This time, it's about a neglected parakeet who couldn't live up to its owners expectations and was a nuisance. Just a friendly heads up, you'll want some tissues in arm's reach.

Where would the good days feel like, if there weren't any bad days that made us appreciate them? 

Sure, bad days suck for everyone. However, we need a little bit of drama in our lives to make life interesting, to have something to laugh about later. It may seem bad now, but it'll be a great story to tell in the future. 

And a little reminder to those who are having a bad day, week, or year -- things will get better.
