Cats Tune Into Their Favorite Show (Comics)

Cats can stare at everything and nothing for endless amounts of time. They will simply stare off in a direction that has no movement, which often leaves us wondering what sort of ghosts lay within our walls. Cats will either stare at nothing or something they're intrigued by, like insects, birds, and reptiles. They will sit there and chirp away at these unusual creatures that have invaded their space.

All this excitement of seeing a creature within reach is quite an entertaining source, not just for us, but for the cats, too. In fact, one might say it could be their version of whatever hit show is currently running.

Stunning And Colorful Mantises (12 Images)

We don't know about you but when we think of a mantis, the classic green mantis comes to mind. Who in the world knew they could come in such a vast variety of colors, and stunning colors at that? To say we're stunned is an understatement -- mantis are beautiful!

Bugs are usually something we claim to be beautiful, but they have surprised us in the past! We're just attracted to unusual colors on things we've already decided on how they look. Which is usually brown and not so pleasant to look at. Turns out, there are more colors to little insects than we could ever imagine there would be.

We're not saying we're totally obsessed with insects now but we do appreciate their beauty!

Photographer Highlights Similarities Between Pets And Their Owners

If you ever watched Disney's 101 Dalmations, you may recall the opening scene in which the Pongo is searching for a match for his human. As he looks out into the street, he sees multiple people, with their dog in tow, and each person matches their dog in some way or another. It's an adorable scene and now we're itching to re-watch that masterpiece.

In general, they say owners tend to pick out pets that look similar to themselves. Professional animal photographer, Gerrard Gethings, has created these portraits to prove that theory. And honestly, we're completely convinced.

The resemblance between these pet owners and their beloved pets is uncanny and cannot be ignored. The series is called #doyoulooklikeyourdog and #doyoulooklikeyourcat. Gethings then compares the portraits and highlights the similarities.

Unrecognizable And Amazing Medieval Animal Paintings (Twitter Thread)

These medieval paintings of animals will never get old, and there are always new ridiculous paintings to discover! Last time, it was revealed to the world that paintings, during the Medieval Ages, were filled with cats licking their own butts

No, we are not kidding. It's totally a real thing and we don't know why. And now, thanks to Twitter user, @DannyDutch, we have new Medieval art to gawk and obsess over. A thread of medieval paintings of animals that look nothing like the animals they are supposed to be. Why? Because the artists themselves have never seen these animals before, and are going off of descriptions of said animal.

Reminds us of how we picture dinosaurs today. Who knows, we could be terribly off when it comes to the prehistoric giants.

Why medieval animal painting is your favorite? We slightly intrigued and afraid of the beaver.

Wholesome "Hey Buddy Comics" Are Always A Delight

You all are in for a super delightful treat! It doesn't get more wholesome and adorable than "Hey Buddy Comics," and we've rounded up 25 comics from this past year that are not only wholesome but really uplifting.

"Hey Buddy Comics," is created by the combined talented forces of the James, the writer, and an artist that goes by the initial "K." We had the chance to speak to James about the process of 'Hey Buddy Comics,' and how they uncover a plethora of wholesome ideas for comics.

"I have been writing short dialogues about my dog since he was a puppy. The intense affection I felt for this creature I could not communicate with inspired me to imagine the conversations we would have if I could. Recently I realized that the huge collection of stuff I had written might actually entertain other people. The problem was they were kind of boring to look at in text form, they needed to be brought to life, to have the same energy and verve as my actual dog," said James.

So, James teamed up with the artist "K" and "Hey Buddy Comics" was born! Get ready to have your heart flooded with some major aww's!
