Thread: Doggos That Have Had Enough Of Their New Siblings

So, listen. We love our siblings. Yes, we do. But, there are some moments in everyone's lives when we kinda wanna throw something at them. That's fine. It's part of siblinghood. And apparently, doggos feel the same way. Hey, don't judge. Sometimes, even animals ruin family photos on purpose, and it just annoys everyone.

Doggos can feel pretty heckin' done with their siblings too - especially when it's a new sibling that has just joined the household. They're patient, yeah, and doggos are indeed the best boys and girls no matter what. It's just that it takes some time to get used to this wiggling and zooming ball of energy that doesn't calm down until it passes out. But hey, at least the pictures are funny.

Meet The Newly Adopted Faces Of The Week (21 Images)

To all those who clicked on this list: prepare yourselves. You're about to be overcome with so much cuteness, wholesomeness, and love you won't even know what to do with yourselves. It is time to celebrate this week's newly adopted faces.

Every Friday, we scour the internet, looking for all of the most awwdorable pooches that got adopted this week - from cats to dogs and even to the very cutest axolotls! Seeing all of these lovely animals finally find their forever homes, happy and content, is the one thing that we absolutely cannot withstand smiling about.

To every person who adopted this week, we give the biggest thank you! Giving these animals a place to live and be loved is the best thing to do for them. A extra special thank you, as always, goes to the ones of you who adopted senior pets, pets with behavioral issues, or sick pets. We know it's harder to take care of them, but it's so, so worth it, and we are grateful.

So we all know that, for some totally weird reason, it's a thing for dads to pretend as if they don't love the new pets we bring home. It's a tale as old as time, starting with the dads arguing against bringing the pets home in the first place, followed by them pretending they hate the fur ball when you adopt it anyway, and then... somehow, you catch them taking selfies together.

It always happens, and it's always wholesome, and our resident cat dad captures that purrfectly in this new original animation. He should know, considering that he brought in not one but two new kittens home.

Animation by @sleepyskele, check out his portfolio and his Fiverr.

Thread: Saving And Adopting A Newborn Kitten With Umbilical Cord Still Attached

There can be many reasons in the wild for which even the most loving animal mommas would reject one of their babies. Nature is cruel like that. And though we don't know the exact reason behind the abandonment of this itty bitty kitty in this story, we can only be thankful that it turned out the way it did.

Abandoned by its mom, a newborn kitten with its eyes still closedand the umbilical cord still attached to it was thankfully found by YucateCosa's neighbor. Following that, after getting lucky approximately 53 more times, this kitten found its new forever home. Thank you to YucateCosa for taking care of her and giving her the love and care that she deserved. Few could have and would have done what you did, and we are so, so thankful.

Thread: Senior, Blind, Deaf And Sick Dog Finds A Forever Home

A lot of us in this community have pets - cats, dogs, parrots, and all the animal in between. We love animals. And we have animals because we love them and want to give them the best lives they can possibly have. But how far would we really go to take care of an animal? It's not easy, even if they're young and healthy. But adopting a senior pet, a blind pet, a deaf pet, or a sick pet is whole other kind of challenge.

And what if one pet is all of those things together? Meet Nannoo.

Nannoo's owner has recently passed away, and her family surrendered her to Nashville Humane. The shelter attempted to give her the best life they could, but nothing can really replace a forever home. Honestly, we are not sure that we would have been able to take on the task of adopting this dog, so we are truly thankful to MrPuckett for doing it and sharing the story with the world.

We hope this wonderful senior doggo lives a long life, as healthy as can be, getting all the pets and snacks it could want.

Not every animal is born into the best of circumstances. Nature can be difficult like that. In the wild, unfortunately, baby animals can lose their mothers and be left alone. Many of them don't survive, but some of them... find themselves in the hands of people who will do anything to save them.

Such is the story of Tohar the cow. She had lost her momma when she was only 8 days old, but thankfully, she found her way to Shanti farm where other disabled animals get rescued and find forever homes. But, that's not where her story Tohar's story ends. This wonderful girl has turned out to have endless love for other animals, and has, over time, become a sort of surrogate momma to them, taking them under her wing and giving them all the love that she can.

Thread: When A Human Gets Adopted By A Feral Cat

Pet adoption stories are always the most wholesome stories to read. Walking into a shelter and falling in love or helping a friend by taking a kitten from a newborn litter... it's our favorite kind of stories. Well, second favorite. Because what takes the number one spot for us are stories of the opposite, not of us humans adopting a pet but stories of pets adopting humans.

The story of the no-longer-feral cat that you're about to read is just like that. All it took was some love (and a little food) for a totally feral cat to decide that this human is its now. And being that we are too in love with cats for this world, this person had simply no choice but to take this kitty into its home. The rest... well, it's history. Very wholesome history.

Thread: Trusting Stray Cat Mom Brings Kittens To Her Chosen Human

It's not an easy feat to grain a cat's trust. Many times, cats are aloof for a while before finally choosing their human. They're defensive by nature, and they're even more defensive when they have babies. To have cat moms trust their humans with their babies is an even bigger accomplishment. It's just that sometimes, even while they're still scared, cat mommas have no choice but to look for help with the human predators that scare them.

Such is the case with the cat mom that brunion has been feeding for a while. Maybe becoming a domesticated cat wouldn't have been her first choice, but in an attempt to help her babies, she went to the food-providing human anyway. It's safe to say that, now that these kitties are living in brunion's house, brunion is not the one who fostered them, the cat is the one who fostered this human.

Heartwarming Stories Of Cats Adopting Humans

Every single one of us, cat owners, has a story to tell about how we chose and adopted our fur babies. Some of us rescued our cats from terrible lives on the street, others went into a shelter to pick up a kitten then ended up changing our minds and adopting a senior pet. and some of us... well, some of us didn't choose at all and were instead picked by the cats.

Last week, our purrfect ICanHasCheezburger users shared some of their stories with us - stories of cats adopting them, and they were so cute and wholesome, we simply had to share them with all of you guys as well. Thank you to everyone who shared, and we hope that your cats have the absolute best lives living with their humans of choice

She and both of her pit bulls were in a food coma. The cat, who was feral, walked in (stepping on the dogs), climbed up on the table and ate a bunch of Turkey, then sashayed into the living room and fell asleep snuggled up to her. Everyone knows that cats and dogs do not tend to get along. That's the stereotype, right? Most people are not aware that, especially if introduced to each other at a young age, cats and dogs can end up being total BFFs, hanging out together, sleeping next to each other, cuddling and even grooming each other.

Thankfully, our resident animation cat dad knows better than that, and @sleepyskele's newest animation captures just that process of kitten meets huge doggo with fear and then, over time, with love.

Abandoned Tripod Kitten Finds Forever Home With Another Tripod Cat

Not every kitten is born the same as the previous one. Some cats are born blind, other cats are born with extra toe beans, and this kitten was born with a few issues in his legs. Meet JD, the three legged kitten whose back left foot was curled under and who couldn't walk.

As reported by Love Meow, JD was a three year old tabby cat who was found abandoned alongside his siblings. A Good Samaritan who came across them on the street could not help but pick them up and try to help them, but unfortunately, she soon realized that she was not equipped to give them the kind of special care that they needed, especially JD.

Not giving up on them, she reached out to people who could help. Today, JD is happier than ever, adopted and living with another "impurrfect" cat with three legs.

Read more of the story and see adorable pictures below!

Thread: Stray Injured Cat Picks A Human To Adopt

Most times, adopting a pet is a conscious decision. You make plans, you go to shelters, you choose your new lifelong companion. True, you may change your mind and adopt a senior pet instead of a baby pet at the last second, but it's your choice. Except when it isn't. Sometimes, it's the animals who adopt their humans, and we can do nothing but give them the love and affection that they ask for. The following story is one of those times.

A guy who had no plans whatsoever to have a cat could not help but give the cat food when he saw that the cat needed it, and the rest.. is history. Now, this beautiful stray cat has a forever homeof its own with the man who rescued it, and we are so happy for both of them.
