We all love Christmas. It's magical, it's cheer, it's joy, it's gifts and ornaments and time away from work and with our pets and families. Our pets, of course, love Christmas too. Even if they don't understand exactly what's going on, they can feel our happiness and cheer, and it brings them happiness and cheer too. 

Every year, we celebrate our Christmases with our pets, making sure to of course leave a little gift for them as well, but there's something unique and oh so special about a pet's first Christmas. Whether they were just born and are experiencing it for the first time, or if they were just adopted, the joy that Christmas brings them passes right back into us. 

It's a circle of joy: happy us - happy pets, happy pets - happy us.

People who have no pets seem to truly have no idea what they're missing. The love and joy that an animal brings into a household, the brightness and pure positivity. And it's important to remember that, of course, you're not the only one who's made happy by their presence, but that they're also made happy by yours. 

There is nothing more gratifying in the world when you have a pet than seeing that pet love you back. Whether you see in the way they snuggle with you or in the way they just chill next to you, when animals love, they love hard. And it is the most beautiful thing in the world. 

So, if you know anyone who's considering adopting, show them these pictures, and their mind will hopefully be set on "yes".

The end of the week has finally come, and it means that it's time, once again, for one of our absolute favorite segments - the newly adopted faces of the week. So many lovely animals have been rescued this week, from itty bitty puppies and kittens to older pets, and it just makes us so elated to see it!

We want to thank every single person out there who adopted a pet this week and decided to give it its forever home. And we hope that next week, we will have just as many if not more adorable adopted faces to showcase. So, thank you and good luck to everyone who plans to adopt in the future as well, and of course, all of you who have adopted in the past. Happy Friday, everyone! It's been a long week but we're finally here and to commemorate the occasion, it's time for our favorite weekly segment - the newly adopted faces of the week! We've got quite a few rescued seniors that were adopted this week and our hearts are bursting at the sight of it! 

A major thank you to all those kind folks out there who have recently adopted a pet, have adopted pets in the past, or will adopt pets in the future! All these lovely animals get a forever loving home, thanks to you. And to those who adopt a senior animal, or any animal that requires a bit more love and attention, you are our heroes. Seriously, we adore you. Thank you for giving those animals a second chance at a wonderful life.

Thinking this might be the year you gift a loved one with a pet? You should really think about that gift decision. Animals are a commitment, they need constant attention and love and if you're not equipped to fully take on that role, along with multiple responsibilities, then you may want to take a moment and think about what you're getting yourself into. 

We're not saying that one shouldn't adopt an animal, we believe having an animal in your life enriches it but it's important to realize everything that comes with a pet. Yes, it's hard work, and it is extremely rewarding if you put the effort into it, but if you don't have the time then perhaps now is not the right time.

Surprise! Well, it can't be that much of a surprise. These expressive pets look as if they were just told the most shocking news -- and what's more shocking than finding out you're adopted? We're sure there are plenty of things but this one just felt right. 

Expressive animals are one of our favorite things in this world, it's so hilarious and truly makes it known that all animals carry an arrange of emotions, just like us. You can see when they're angry, scared, or happy. You can tell when they're shocked, curious, or suspicious. They wear their heart on their sleeve, their facial expressions just give them away and we're so thankful for that! 

There are cats who are more expressive than others but all cats can show some facial expressions. Here are 20 pets who just discovered the dreaded truth... they aren't the hooman's biological baby.

It's refreshing to take a set back from life and focus on the joy and love cats bring to our lives. They're obviously all adorable to look at and make our hearts scream "aww" itself, but there's more to cats than just their adorableness. They are so wildly funny without trying, having a cat is like having a live show on all the time. Cats can even be funny when they sleep, and they are most definitely always cute doing so.

Besides cuteness and funnies, they also just fill that hole in our hearts. They are our best friends, we love them unconditionally and they show us their love in their own individual ways. It's never easy to say goodbye to that love but it's a part of life and we're here to honor that life, all lives of cats everywhere. To all those who recently lost a loved one, we send you our love. They may be gone but never forgotten. 

Here's something that's never crossed our minds, if you had an identical twin, would your pet confuse the two of you? Well, seems like someone did think about it, Redditor u/Asshiq, asked the Reddit community, "Identical twins that own pets, what was your pet's reaction when they saw your twin?"

The responses were delightful but we especially enjoyed reading the silly stories people had to share about their experience as a twin and a pet. So now we're going to ask you, before reading the comment below, do you think the pets were able to tell the identical twins apart?

Welcome to our favorite wholesome segment of the week -- the newly adopted faces! You're in for a real treat, this week may be our largest gathering of adopted faces yet (so many rescues!) and each one is simply precious and oh so heartwarming! 

It makes our heart's so full and happy to see all these beautiful faces in their new forever homes. There is truly a no better sight! We would like to thank all those who recently adopted, all those who have adopted, and everyone who will adopt in the future. These gorgeous furbabies wouldn't have such a loving home if it weren't for you. And a special shout out to those who adopted seniors pets or those who are in need of some extra care and loving -- you guys are our forever heroes.

The Zzz's are coming in hard and fast! It's pointless trying to fight off the inevitable, we are long overdue for a midday nap! 

We know what you're thinking, there's so much that needs to get done, there is simply no time for a nap. And honestly, we understand, but consider this: you've been working so hard for so long, we all deserve to treat ourselves once in a while and a nap is one of the greatest treats we can give our exhausted and overworked bodies.
