A daring mother and son duo have hand-raised 14 bears in their back garden. In the heart of Bearadise Ranch, Florida, Monica Welde and her son, Johnny IV, spend their days rolling around with bears that weigh up to 1,000lbs. The Welde family have looked after grizzly bears, black bears and polar bears for the last 91 years – using their license to provide for those in need of a home. But the family tradition came under threat last year when Monica's husband, Johnny III, died of a heart attack just after he turned 60. But with the help of her son, a devastated Monica has put her loss to one side so she can concentrate on continuing the family legacy and caring for their beloved pet bears. Via: Barcroft Animals

When Kristin Hartness adopted Ziggy five years ago, she thought she was the proud new owner of a tiny, teacup pig. Teacup pigs are typically advertised as pets that will remain miniature-size, and will never reach the full size of a regular pig. Hartness quickly learned otherwise. Ziggy is now full-grown, weighing in at over 250 pounds! Despite Ziggy's unexpected size, Hartness never thought twice about keeping her lovable pig. Ziggy and Hartness's adventures began in St. John's in the Caribbean and have spanned across the United States. Ziggy has quickly become quite the seasoned traveler, and the world has been taking notice of his story. Two beautiful and cute polar bears cubs and their charming mother are romping in snow and this makes them the happiest and the cutest polar bear family of all time. Photographer Keren Su made these wonderful pictures in the National Park Wapusk in Canada at -20 degrees frost.
When you hear animals creeping along your porch, you think stray dogs or cats are probably responsible — or maybe a bold raccoon. You don't think it's going to be a mother lynx and her family of seven kittens. But such was the case for Tim Newton when he awoke to the sound of paws on his deck Wednesday morning. The Anchorage man thought it was cats, but he didn't think it would be, well, big cats.
Newton, a professional photographer, naturally reached for his camera to capitalize on the the rare opportunity to photograph the cats. The cats played on the deck for about 40 minutes before their mom ushered them back into the woods.
