Aawdorable Cats And Kittens Drinking From Straws

Let's not lie to ourselves, we are aware that if we leave a glass of water on the table, our cat might just drink from it. It's a true moment of contemplation, standing over that glass with our eyes squinted and thinking "is there cat spit in that?" and "do I care?" The real question is: how far are cats willing to go to get to that drink they're not supposed to touch?

They do have a tendency to go where they shouldn't. And apparently, even a lid can't stop them. Because if that lid has a hole in it in which there is a straw... they'll get to it. Some of these kitties seem a little confused by the mechanism of the straw, but that doesn't stop them. Eventually, our smart little felines figure it out.

What a great mother, teaching her youngling the ways of the word!

Lucky Paws is recording videos of cute kittens growing up from day 1 to day 100 -- this is day 38. And on day 38, little baby kittens are learning how to drink from a bowl -- just like their mama!

One little kitten, named Cream, seems to have understood the whole drinking concept pretty quickly!

Water fountains are an ingenious invention for cats. Cats love running water, they love fresh water so a running water fountain? Seems full-proof, right?

Well, maybe not. I cannot tell you how many fountains I've purchased for my cat who seems so have no problem drinking from a lid that's gathered dirty water but somehow a fresh-running fountain is the epitome of evil.

These two cats, however, seem to not be as terrified of the object as my cat. What is your secret, Walter Santi?

There is a new object in the house and each cat is taking a different approach.

Conservationist, entomologist and television host Phil Torres of Jungle Diaries, who spent two years in the Peruvian Amazon, captured on video the remarkable sight of flocks of colorful butterflies swarming around the faces of turtles, truly looking as if they were animated characters out of a Disney film. As it turns out, these lepidopteran insects were drinking the tears of the turtles as a means to get the sodium and other minerals needed to regulate their metabolism, boost their reproduction and ensure their survival. Nature is beautiful!

How To Buy Your Cat A Drink

Cat's cannot drink alcohol.

Even a small sip might put them in a coma, so forget about it.

But sometimes, after a long day at work, when you come home and crack open a cold one, it might be nice to share that moment with your cat.

John Wells of The Field Lab in Texas, had a simple idea for a video called "The Bucket." He left a camera at the bottom of a bucket of water in the desert near his lab to see if any visitors would come by to take a drink. A bee, a rabbit and even a donkey are some of the surprising visitors.
