Jenny Jinya's newest comic hits hard. Jinya draws about real issues that a majority of people shy away from because it's uncomfortable and heartbreaking to even think about. This artist takes those hardships that animals are facing and shines a light on them, in a way they can't really be ignored. 

Jinya's latest comic is about orca captivity, but it really is about animal captivity in the larger sense. In a tweet that shared the following comic, Jinya wrote, "If you were bored during the Corona Lockdowns, imagine how animals feel when they have to spend their whole lives like this."

Jenny is not scared to shy away from these painful issues and delivers the truth, as gut-wrenching as it may be. In hopes of changing this world, check out a variety of her powerful comics that have since featured elephants, dogs, black cats, birds, and more.

This time, the artist has reimagined a classic, 'Clifford the Big Red Dog,' as 'Clifford the Big Red Cat.' And that's already has a ton of golden potential. A giant cat? Sign us up for the mayhem!

Meet the talented artist, Gemma Gené, and her pug, Mochi! Gemma Gené, born in Barcelona, currently residing in New York, started the cartoon series "157 of gemma" as an escape from her Architecture undergrad final thesis project. "157 of gemma" is a cartoon series about her life with her "chubby and opinionated pug Mochi," as written on the 157ofgemma website about section, "The main characters are Mochi, my husband Peli, Mochi's brothers the Twinchis and me. Mochi is a very happy and sweet pug that sees life in a particular way. In his world, his happy life with his Mom (Mami) is truncated by the constant presence of his Dad. Also, he thinks he is human and he shouldn't walk up the stairs, that is why mums are for."

Gemma Gené also offers an adorable bio for Mochi, stating, "He is super sweet and well behaved, but he can be very sassy and pretty much does whatever he wants. His favorite activities include sleeping, eating, and going for walks, especially when he is being carried. Mochi has many friends, most of them humans. Mochi lives happily in Bushwick and works very hard every day inspiring cartoons."

Enter the magical world of Japanese artist, Mono Kubo! Mono Kubo, a talented artist who has re-imaged our world where humans are lost and regular-sized, but animals are giant creatures here to comfort us or provide us with some sort of path. Mono Kubo's message behind each one of these stunning and imaginative artworks is trying to tell the viewer that the best way to befriend and understand nature is to envision the roles reversed. We like to believe in a world such as the one Mono Kubo has created. A world where animals are larger than life and are our saviors, in one way or another.

Meet French artist/animator Kéké. Kéké reimagines popular animal pics or gifs in a fun animated way. As Kéké's Twitter bio states, "I draw animals (sometimes buff!) who bounce like balloons! I want to spread love with them." And we definitely feel the love!

All of the following creations are created on Kéké's DSi and 3DS! A program called Flipnote Studio. Honestly, that makes all these following animations even more impressive.

You all are in for a super delightful treat! It doesn't get more wholesome and adorable than "Hey Buddy Comics," and we've rounded up 25 comics from this past year that are not only wholesome but really uplifting. 

"Hey Buddy Comics," is created by the combined talented forces of the James, the writer, and an artist that goes by the initial "K." We had the chance to speak to James about the process of 'Hey Buddy Comics,' and how they uncover a plethora of wholesome ideas for comics.

"I have been writing short dialogues about my dog since he was a puppy. The intense affection I felt for this creature I could not communicate with inspired me to imagine the conversations we would have if I could. Recently I realized that the huge collection of stuff I had written might actually entertain other people. The problem was they were kind of boring to look at in text form, they needed to be brought to life, to have the same energy and verve as my actual dog," said James.

So, James teamed up with the artist "K" and "Hey Buddy Comics" was born! Get ready to have your heart flooded with some major aww's!

They're kind of all amazing, in their own crappy, adorable way. 

Meet Hercule Van Wolfwinkle, the acclaimed pet portrait artist, who has come up with a creative and fun way to help raise money for the charity Turning Tides Ending Local Homelessness, a homelessness charity local to Hercule. The charity is described in the fundraising site as, " local charity that believe everyone has the right to a home, regardless of the difficulties and issues they may face in their lives. They believe in showing those who need their help, that the wider community are there to support them too!"

The acclaimed artist seems to be in demand, the fundraising project already 577% more than the target. And with the donations comes the beautiful, and highly realistic pet portraits. Also explained within the fundraising project, Hercule has two styles when it comes to his masterpiece creations, "one super realistic full colour which is just like looking at a photograph or alternatively the more contemporary black and white portrait that will grace any home."

The talented and creative Kat Swenski is the artist behind KatRaccoon Comics. KatRaccoon Comics is about a new format of comics, a comic/gif hybrid way of telling a story. Have you ever come across a gif and had no idea what was happening? As if you needed some context behind that gif to help the overall story?

Well, there's an entire community on Reddit, r/behindthegifs, filled with artists whose duty is to bring context to those context-less gifs and complete the mystery.

It's no secret that Jimmy's comics are one of our all-time favs, they're just so clever, creative, and actually make us feel like if animals were to talk, this is pretty much what they would be saying.

Chinese artist, Mai Mai, has perfectly summed up what life is like after you get a pet and the little day-to-day things that will change because of it/

Photos of landscapes and selfies will be replaced with nothing but your pets. Maybe a few selfies with said pets. Have clean clothes? Not anymore. Pet hair gets everywhere, and it gets everywhere fast. Extra money? Will go to taking care of your pet because they come first. 

It may sound unpleasant but it's honestly the best. And all pet owners can attest to that. There is nothing compared to having a best friend by side, always loving you. Truly, it's unmeasurable.
