From Animal Advocacy's Facebook page:
Some time ago Panchita was caught up in a net, which left deep cuts all over her body. She managed to make it to this hotel where animal advocates nursed her back to health for 3 months. Every day she returns to rest after being out to sea. She is now pregnant and expecting within a month.
Panchita, you definitely deserve some R&R after your struggles!
A kitteh named Sugar survived a 19-story fall from her owner's Boston apartment.
Sugar landed on a small patch of mulch, which helped lessen the impact of the fall. Animal Rescue League of Boston assistant manager Mike Brammer said Sugar's "flying-squirrel"-like ability to glide also helped her survive the harrowing ordeal.
Sugar's hoomin, Brittney Kirk, who was tracked down via a microchip implanted in her cat, says she left the window open so that Sugar wouldn't get too hot. "[I]f there were a cat to fall 19 stories and to be fine, I think it would definitely be Sugar, because she's a pretty special cat," she said.
Special, indeed! Thank goodness kittehs have nine lives!
