This Groomer Gives Free Haircuts To Help Shelter Dogs Get Adopted

Mark "The Dog Guy" works as an animal groomer in New York City, but his job entails more than just making pets look good on the outside. For the dogs that need his services most, a bath and a haircut can do wonders for their mood and potentially change their lives. That's why when Imhof isn't primping pets for his business, he's offering his services for free to shelter dogs who are looking to get adopted.

The idea to start grooming rescue dogs struck him when he adopted his first pit bull Cleo with his fiancée. "She was so utterly defeated when we brought her home," he told Mental Floss. "A simple shower just lifted her spirits and we thought, wouldn't it be great if someone could go groom shelter animals? And it became me."

Since then and during the two last two years, he has done pro bono work for dozens of adoptable pups in the New York City area, many of whom have gone home to loving families. Here are some of the before and after images from his Instagram below.

Girl Convinces Her BF to Adopt a Dog By Creating a Powerpoint Presentation

Powerpoint presentations get right to the point. They send a very clear message when presented. So why is it mainly only used for school or work? Why not ever day life?

Well, Haley Tabarangao, 22, from Colorado, had an important message to give her boyfriend and figured that powerpoint might be the best way to get her message across. Or better yet, get the guilt across...

You Can Now Adopt a Dog Based On Your Share Love Of Music

Dogs love music. They even have their very own preferences of music. Just like we do. So why not connect people and dogs with the same taste in music? That's exactly what Spotify and an animal shelter in Germany did.

They have teamed up to launch 'Adoptify,' featuring music for dogs. The Adoptify website makes it possible for prospective pet owners to have themselves matched to an adoptable animal based on their shared love of music. While one dog is said to love hip-hop, the other might prefers rock. After finding a dog with similar musical interests, one may watch a video about the dog, read more information about them and hopefully, provide a loving home for their new friend. Here are some of the music preferences of adorable dogs offered for adoption. Via: Trend Hunter
