Scientists Have Examined The Mysterious Phenomenon Of Cats Sitting On Squares

Every cat owner has experienced that mysterious phenomenon of their cat sitting in some place that they shouldn't - from boxes to random books to whatever container they can fit in. If it fits, I sits, that is indeed the saying. We have even seen that cats will sit on flat, square-shaped objects on the floor. But have you ever thought about why they do it - what is this magnetic pull towards the square that we cannot see and do not understand? Well, scientists are now officially studying the phenomenon.

Tweet User Demands People Get Out So Kitten Can Focus On Her Studies

In this slightly old but most definitely gold Twitter Thread, we are being yelled at by Twitter user, @youthfvlly, for interrupting their kitten's focus willing studying. Quite honestly, we couldn't help ourselves and we definitely deserved to be scolded. And while we want this little kitten to have the best education out there, we really can't say we wouldn't do it again.

But before you judge us, you just need to scroll down and look at this calico kitten studying hard on a big desk. It's too precious and even talking about doesn't do the images justice. We have a feeling you're about to be scolding too. And probably us too.

Worth it.

New Study Finds That Men Who Pose With Cats Are Less Likely To Get a Date

Cat-astrophic News for all the loving cat's men out there: if you want to attract women, you should really consider taking your cat off your profile photo.

A new study by the Colorado State University showed hundreds of women photos of two men, both pictured with and without a furry companion, and their responses clearly confirmed that women are less likely to swipe right — or say yes — to men if they're posing with a cat in a picture.

A total of 708 women aged between 18 and 24 were surveyed in the online experiment and here are some of its main results.

Study Scanned The Brains Of 33 Dog Breeds And Proved How Centuries Of Breeding Reshaped Its Structure

There are hundreds of dog breeds around the world, all thanks to centuries of selective breeding by humans. With such a wide range of canine sizes and temperaments, it's no surprise that, in the process, we have reshaped their brains as well as their bodies. Here are the main findings of a new study of 33 different dog breeds, published in the journal Neurosci by study leader, Erin E. Hecht, an evolutionary neuroscientist at Harvard University.
