Training cats to do anything... has a tendency to go wrong, but to succeed at teaching cats tricks is almost unheard of. Not for this Chinese ex-soldier though. This amazing man was a dog trainer in the army and today has dogs of his own that he likes to train. The thing is, one day, a stray cat came into his life and waltzed its way right into this dog-loving soldier's heart.

From the beginning, the cat spent a lot of time with the dog and, watching the dogs do tricks with his owner, the cat would sometimes copy the dog. Today, what he does is absolutely amazing, doing the kind of amazing tricks that we've never seen, even jumping onto his owner's shoulder on command.

Purchased as a young cub from a railway station in Iran by a group of Polish soldiers during World War II , Wojtek was enlisted into the army as a private in order to be given rations and transportation. He was subsequently promoted to corporal and helped to move crates of ammunition during the Battle of Monte Cassino in 1944 – swiftly becoming a celebrity among the Allied troops. After the war, Wojtek lived out the rest of his life at Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland, and was commemorated by a statue in Edinburgh's Princes Street Gardens that was erected in 2015.
