If you ever watched Disney's 101 Dalmations, you may recall the opening scene in which the Pongo is searching for a match for his human. As he looks out into the street, he sees multiple people, with their dog in tow, and each person matches their dog in some way or another. It's an adorable scene and now we're itching to re-watch that masterpiece. 

In general, they say owners tend to pick out pets that look similar to themselves. Professional animal photographer, Gerrard Gethings, has created these portraits to prove that theory. And honestly, we're completely convinced. 

The resemblance between these pet owners and their beloved pets is uncanny and cannot be ignored. The series is called #doyoulooklikeyourdog and #doyoulooklikeyourcat. Gethings then compares the portraits and highlights the similarities.

Yikes. We're not entirely sure if some of these are purposely bad or if at the time, someone thought these pictures were fantastic and decided to share them with the world. We're hoping for the former, that these are just ironically bad portraits with the sole purrpose of making us laugh.

Amelia Paul Forman is nineteen years old and has a mom who is a world-class photographer with a predilection for photographing animals. Since she was three years old, Amelia has been her mother's muse and the subject of her photographs. With his Chattel series, photographer Kevin Horan wondered what would happen if his neighbors, goats and sheep from the Whidbey Island, came to him in his studio to be photographed like humans. Some funny anthropomorphic portraits that reveal the hidden personalities of these animals…

London-based photographer, Tim Flach, with a new project titled "More Than Human", which brings his subjects into close focus with wild animals and allows them to read their poses and gestures as we would the body language of a human figure, face or hand.  

These characteristic portraits of animals were taken by David Boni who fell in love with animal portraiture. With their heads raised high, these animals look nothing short of noble.

Photographer Monika Malek wants to change the way people think about disabled cats and show that they are just as wonderful as any other regular feline. Her project is called, "I Am Still A Cat". Monika says: "The goal is to bridge the gap between people's perception of able-bodied and disabled cats. This is my attempt to show people that a disability does not mean that a cat is inferior. A disabled cat doesn't require care 24 hours a day, the same as an able-bodied cat. He eats the same amount. He plays the same way. Meows, as well, and purrs the same," she writes. Via: Pulpastic
