Cats And Their Eternally Weird Obsession With Human Food

Cats have a whole lot of weird obsessions. For some reason, cats have an eternal struggle with plants. They also have an unreasonable desire to instantly sit on our fresh laundry and cover it with their fur. Of course, they have their love for catnip, but at least that obsession makes sense.

The obsession they have with human foodthough, now that's a weird one. No matter what we have on our plate - whether it's food that they want or a cucumber, they will get in your face, and if you turn your back for a second, they will get in your plate, to try to... do something with it. Because goodness knows, most of the time they don't even eat it. Cats just like making sure that they're not missing out on anything, we're sure that's the reason. That, and also, cats are jerks lol.

She doesn't even want to eat it. Just smell it and maybe give a tiny lick just to ruin it for the human. 3 Like · Reply · Message 10h'

Cats And Their Eternal Love For Boxes (Pics)

Oh, cats and their obsessions with strange things.. There are so many strange things that our cats love to an unexplainable degree: lying on our fresh laundry, playing with toilet paper, sleeping on plants. Those are just a few off the top of our heads, but the main obsession - the eternal love - goes for the one and only Box.

If you have a cat, you know that all it takes is one second - only a single moment - after you open a box for your cat to suddenly appear in it. Doesn't matter if the cat wasn't even in the room before. Get a box, look away for 5 seconds, and BAM your cat will suddenly appear in it. It's magical. And hilarious. And adorable. It's cats in boxes.

Having earned the love of an animal is always an accomplishment and so special to see. Animals can love so hard, perhaps even harder than us humans.

In an adorable and hilarious video by Instagram user, @atlasandtrico, we are introduced to Atlas, a rescue kitty who is madly in love with her owner. So much so that she refused to be without her human! And she also refuses to be quiet when it comes to her demands and expressing her love! All in all, she is purrfect.

This Is How Cat Obsession Looked Like Way Before LOL Cats And The Internet Age

Before LOLCat, Grumpy Cat, Longcat, Nyan Cat, and all those other famed kitties of the internet age, there were the felines featured in the 1911 book, "Kittens and Cats: A First Reader". The book is a fantastical collection of eerily dressed feline, along with captions on each portrait. In the pages, we meet "Queen Cat", "Party Cat", Hero Cat", Dunce Cat", and more, taken by animal photographer Harry Whittier Frees. Awesome!

GGMR - or Gotta Get More Rats - could be the most curious case of illness seen in quite some time. And no, this isn't something we made up, it's a moniker thought up by people in the rat loving community who are addicted to rats. Chantel Banks, the woman in the video above, maintains a household complete with 19 long tailed rodents otherwise known as rats. When she's not busy "huffing" her pets (a word she uses to describe pressing the rodents against her nose and mouth and deeply inhaling their scent into her lungs) she's studying their personalities in order to cater to their every whim. The crazy pet lifestyle she's living has put quite a burden on her marriage since Chantal has decided to move into a separate apartment away from her husband in order to create space for more rodents.
