Kansas City Chiefs' Derrick Nnadi Covers Over 100 Adoption Fees

With great power comes great responsibility!

And one man used that power in an amazing way this past Sunday! Derrick Nnadi, the Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle, has celebrated his Super Bowl win by covering adoption fees for more than 100 dogs at the KC Pet Project animal shelter in Kansas City, Missouri.

How amazing is that?!

Adoption fees usually run about $150, per dog. And apparently, Nnadi had been paying off adoption fees all season long! Each time the Chiefs would win a game, he would pay another dog's adoption fee through the Derrick Nnadi Foundation.

The fee waiver will cover the cost of any dog that became available for adoption before February 2.

Why spend that money on adoption fees? Well, Nnadi told CNN that he wasn't allowed any pets growing up. During his senior year of college, he decided to get a dog named Rocky and they created an instant bond.

Nnadi said, "When I first got him, he was very timid. It made me think of how other animals, whether they're owned or in a shelter, are feeling scared and alone."

KC Pet Project chief communications officer, Tori Fugate, told CNN that Nnadi's donation had been"incredible."

"More than 100 available dogs in our care will have their adoption fees sponsored starting today," Fugate said of Nnadi's donation.

Its adoptable animals can be found here

Way to go, Derrick Nnadi! If anyone wasn't a fan before --they will be now!

Zoe The French Bulldog is The First NFL'S Emotional Support Dog

The San Francisco 49ers adopted the French Bulldog last year to help players deal with stress, depression, and anxiety.

In welcoming the year-old French Bulldog, the 49ers have become the first team in the NFL to have an emotional support dog for their team.

Zoë was adopted by Austin Moss, the team's director of player engagement, in October of 2018, and since then, she's become a warm, calming and positive presence for players. The team spends time with her before and after games and in between practices.

Zoë spends most of her time lounging around at the team's training facility near Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. When she's not cuddling with her teammates, Zoë loves playing with balloons and eating treats, according to KRON. She doesn't accompany the team on away games but is always excited to greet them when they return.

As far as we are concerned, Zoe is totally the team's cutest MVP! Check out some of her cute photos with the team on their official Instagrampage.

Animal of the Day: Football Fans Went Nuts for a Squirrel on the Field

Everyone loves a cute animal. It's practically what the was invented the Internet for. So it should come as no surprise that everyone was losing it for a little squirrel with a big heart who just wanted to play football. That's right, last night during the Colts/Packers game, a squirrel charged onto the field and stole the show. Like in the film Rudy, people were enamored with the little guy's spirit and determination. It was the underdog—excuse me—undersquirrel story of the weekend.

Its time for Football Playoffs, and just because they can't hold a football doesn't mean these playful pups can't root for their favorite teams! Above are some representatives from the Seattle Seahawks, the San Francisco 49ers, the Denver Broncos, the Houston Texans, the Green Bay Packers, the Atlanta Falcons, and the New England Patriots!

Since we at the ICHC home base are ALWAYS in Beast Mode, we'll be rooting for the Seattle Seahawks! Who are YOU cheering on this weekend?
