Have you ever kissed your cat on the forehead and thought: "Cats don't do that to each other, right? What does my cat think I'm doing when I kiss its head? Does it think I'm trying to eat it or does it understand that it's affection?" You're not the only one. We all wonder whether our pets understand us or not, considering how incredibly different we are. 

Today, tumblr is explaining to us one of those behaviors that we wonder so much about and - spoiler alert - they don't think we're eating them. Other than being hilarious, tumblr is also good at explaining things about animals, and the explanation tumblr gives for this one is an incredibly cute one. They also explain what cats think when we accidentally step on them, and it is somehow even more wholesome. 

It's been a stressful week, and now, it's time to take a breath, relax, and go cuddle your kitty. The cuddling is the most important part of that, of course. To get you started on your mission of relaxation, we have collected a bunch of gifs of the most relaxing thing of all - adorable cats and kittens blowing kisses at you by slow blinking.

There's nothing that makes us happier than when our kitties blow kisses at us like that, saying "I love you" in their wholesome cat way. It really gives us butterflies, and we make sure to slow blink right back at them, saying "I love you too." It's rare enough though, to catch such moments in picture or in video, so these gifs are few and far between, but they are gifs, so we get these "I love you"s on a loop, over and over again, as many times as we need to see it. 

Animals don't actually kiss. That's ones strange activity that only humans participate in. But animals do some things that would look like kissing to us. They nuzzle and snuggle each other, pressing their noses together or to each other's fur. And though it may not be classified as kissing, it's definitely done to show affection.

The week is finally over, and we don't know about you, but we definitely feel like we need some affection right about now. You might get showered with kisses from dogs, but when you get that one small itty bitty peck from a cat... just know you are the chosen one! Or at least not on their ever-growing s**t list, and trust me, they remember EVERY slight, and they'll pay you back in kind. Cats though aren't the only ones with many talents, and no we aren't talking about how incredible dogs are too. Birds are often forgotten when considering intelligent and talented pets. But Barney the Parrot is clearly a credit to his species.
