One of our absolute favorite things about animal twitter is how much it can fall in love randomly with the most random things. Like animals behind glasses. You may not think that's anything special, but you'd be wrong. One tweet about parrots behind glasses with water goes viral, and the rest becomes twitter history.

Twitter users sharing pictures of their own adorable animals behind glasses of water and finding other pictures of it online, and suddenly, you have one of our favorite twitter threads of all time - full of wholesome, innocence, and mild annoyance. It's perfect. 

We've seen cats on glass but what about cats within the glass? Cats within glass raise the age-old question... are cats liquid? Which we all can pretty much confirm that yes, yes, they are. From extra stretchy long taffy cats to cats who can seemingly fit into any given space (no matter the size), cats are bizarre creatures that can go from solid to liquid at any given notice. 

Just another reason why they are simply the greatest creatures ever created. Think about it, if you have that sort of superpower, what would you be doing with it? You could rob a bank in the middle of the night, squeeze your body through all the opens cracks and avoid all the lasers with amazing cat-like reflexes (errr, or chase after them). Whether way, you can do a lot with this special cat ability and what do cats choose to do with it? They use it to sleep. 

There's something oddly endearing and satisfying seeing a pet through a glass. Animals are normally perfect looking, 100% cute 24/7. How can something be so terribly cute and perfect all the time?

We think that because animals are so beautiful, to see them through a glass that causes their distortion -- you can't help but smile. It's okay to look foolish once in a while. In fact, we totally support it!
