Artist Creates 'Crappy Pet Portraits' To Raise Money For Charity

They're kind of all amazing, in their own crappy, adorable way.

Meet Hercule Van Wolfwinkle, the acclaimed pet portrait artist, who has come up with a creative and fun way to help raise money for the charity Turning Tides Ending Local Homelessness, a homelessness charity local to Hercule. The charity is described in the fundraising site as, " local charity that believe everyone has the right to a home, regardless of the difficulties and issues they may face in their lives. They believe in showing those who need their help, that the wider community are there to support them too!"

The acclaimed artist seems to be in demand, the fundraising project already 577% more than the target. And with the donations comes the beautiful, and highly realistic pet portraits. Also explained within the fundraising project, Hercule has two styles when it comes to his masterpiece creations, "one super realistic full colour which is just like looking at a photograph or alternatively the more contemporary black and white portrait that will grace any home."

Check out some of these museum-worthy drawings and start donating to obtain your one original Hercule Van Wolfwinkle!

Pet of the Month: Chloë, 13-year-old Maltese mix, In Need of Tumor Removal Surgery

ICanHasCheezburger? is proud to present and partner with The Waggle Foundation, in a Pet of the Month initiative

Each month, we will be featuring a pet in critical need and needs financial help to survive. We will share their story, their adorable photos, and their journey with the help of unbelievably kind strangers.

The Waggle Foundation is a unique crowd-funding platform. Their mission is to help reduce economic euthanasia in pets. Unfortunately, because of financial struggles families cannot afford to help their beloved pets. That is where the Waggle Foundation steps in. They strive to help each and every pet in need, and just as their motto says "No pet parent should lose their best friend because of financial hardship."

And we couldn't agree more.

100% of donations to pets on the Waggle crowdfunding platform go directly to the veterinary providers administering care and never to the pet owners. This way, Waggle provides the safety and security for all donors in a way that other crowdfunding platforms cannot guarantee, and is reassured that the pet gets the help it needs.

And with that, we would like to present August's Pet of The Month: (Drumroll Please!)

Chloë!

Pet of The Month: Leo, 10-Week Old Kitten, in Need of Emergency Leg Surgery

The Waggle Foundation is a crowd-funding platform that helps reduce economic euthanasia in pets, striving to help every pet in need, just as their motto says "No pet parent should lose their best friend because of financial hardship."

That's why ICanHasCheezburger is proud and excited to team up with the Waggle Foundation and to introduce the "Pet of the Month" initiative.

Each month ICanHasCheezburger will be featuring a critical pet in need of financial aid. Their story, the adorable pictures, and their incredible journey from the kindness of strangers.

100% of donations to pets on the Waggle crowdfunding platform go directly to the veterinary providers administering care and never to the pet owners. This way, Waggle provides the safety and security for all donors in a way that other crowdfunding platforms cannot guarantee.

Without further ado, we would like to introduce Leo!

Leo is a ten-week-old kitten that is believed to have been picked up and dropped by a hawk from a significant height, breaking his 2 front feet. Here is his story...

This Brutal Thread Explaining Why You Shouldn't Support PETA Will Leave You With Many Questions

YouTube vlogger, Calum McSwiggan, explain to his followers on twitter why they shouldn't donate money to PETA — and we will let you decide what's your opinion about it. The bottom line is that there are many actual kind-hearted organizations dedicated to helping pets and animals out there and even though PETA might be the loudest by far, that certainly doesn't mean that it's the most trustworthy. Etobicoke Human Society, a Toronto- based animal shelter, was given 10 Duktig beds meant for dolls, but widely known to be a feline favorite. On a thank you post shared on facebook, the owners wrote: "A HUGE thanks to IKEA Canada for donating these adorable doll beds. Now the cats are elevated off the cold, hard floor. Our floors are easy to clean but not terribly comfortable to lay on. Now cats like Catsby and Frankie have beds of their own to curl up in".

So thank you, IKEA, from us as well!

So, long-story-short, my startup folded and I couldn't find a job. So now I spend the day in the park juggling dead mice for donations of kibble.
