It's not just humans who suffer from the cold; animals do too and these cows can get absolutely freezing in the winter. Farmers have come up with the perfect solution to keep their precious cows warm, by crocheting earmuffs, aka moo muffs, which protect the cow's ears from frostbite. Have you ever seen anything more wholesome in your life?!

When it comes to farm animals, no matter how cute they are, people don't try to save them as much, even when they clearly need help. Thankfully, there are places like the Shanti farm, who open their hearts to exactly these kinds of animals. They take in not only animals with difficult cases but also animals who others would normally not take at all, like disabled cats, horses that were thrown away after they were too tired or old to be ridden, hurt sheep, and the hero of our story today - a little 8-day-old baby calf. It was found near a calf who was on the brink of death, suckling on her dead mother's teat to survive.

"We give them hope and a respectable life," said a representative of Shanti farm to ICanHasCheezburger. "We let people meet them a fall in love with them, and we let the animals learn that they can trust and befriend humans."

Of all the things to come out of this Valentines day, we sure as heck did not expect a viral thread about a cow chasing someone down the street. Still, we will accept this unexpected animal viral thread with open arms and simply assume that... maybe the cow just wanted you to be their valentine. 

Honestly, getting chased by a cow sounds terrifying, and we totally understand the intense panic that can be felt through these unintentionally hilarious tweets. Hey, if a cow started chasing us, we would have lost it too. Cows are normally totally loving friendly cuties, we assure you of that, but apparently, some animals just have a hilarious dark side sometimes. 

Everyone needs some love sometimes - people, animals - we all want love and affection. And sometimes, nature goes out of its way to give us some of that love we so desperately need. This time, nature has done it through one of our favorite animals - cows. 

Personally, we think not enough people appreciate how wholesome and amoosing cows can be, so we decided to take it upon ourselves and show you. We've seen cats who were blessed with hearts on their fur, and now we give you pictures of cows with hearts on their fur to appreciate as well. They're just so udderly adorable, and they need love just as much as everyone else.

There are moment in life when we realize that animals... animals are not that different than us. They communicate with each other, they show each other affection, they eat and sleep, and they also sit like us. Sometimes. Actually, it's kinda weird when they do that. In an hilarious way of course.

We know that dogs do it, and we've even seen cats sitting down on their booties like humans, possibly because of our influence on them as our pets, but cows and elephants? Now, that's something to laugh about while also being slightly confused. Why do they do that? We have no idea. But we love it.

Did you know that cows actually cause more deaths than sharks? Yep. You read that correctly. According to an ABC News report that cited a 2012 study, it was discovered that cattle cause an average of 22 deaths per year! And sharks? They actually only kill about 6 people per year. Makes you feel a little bit different about these adorable fuzzy animals, eh? 

But not too different, we still love them and their giant spots. And because we love them, we wanted to shine a spotlight on these animals and honor them in the form of memes and tweets! A study published last month in Nature's Scientific Reports found that cows' "voices are individually distinct," and that "they're able to maintain these individual characteristics across the contexts". The research team hopes that "through gaining knowledge of these vocalizations, farmers will be able to tune into the emotional state of their cattle, improving animal welfare".
