Cows With Hearts On Their Fur Spreading Some Love

Everyone needs some love sometimes - people, animals - we all want love and affection. And sometimes, nature goes out of its way to give us some of that love we so desperately need. This time, nature has done it through one of our favorite animals - cows.

Personally, we think not enough people appreciate how wholesome and amoosing cows can be, so we decided to take it upon ourselves and show you. We've seen cats who were blessed with hearts on their fur, and now we give you pictures of cows with hearts on their fur to appreciate as well. They're just so udderly adorable, and they need love just as much as everyone else.

Animals Sitting Suspiciously Like Humans

There are moment in life when we realize that animals... animals are not that different than us. They communicate with each other, they show each other affection, they eat and sleep, and they also sit like us. Sometimes. Actually, it's kinda weird when they do that. In an hilarious way of course.

We know that dogs do it, and we've even seen cats sitting down on their booties like humans, possibly because of our influence on them as our pets, but cows and elephants? Now, that's something to laugh about while also being slightly confused. Why do they do that? We have no idea. But we love it.

Amoosing Cow Memes And Tweets

These cow memes are the definition of "moo..d."

Did you know that cows actually cause more deaths than sharks? Yep. You read that correctly. According to an ABC News report that cited a 2012 study, it was discovered that cattle cause an average of 22 deaths per year! And sharks? They actually only kill about 6 people per year. Makes you feel a little bit different about these adorable fuzzy animals, eh?

But not too different, we still love them and their giant spots. And because we love them, we wanted to shine a spotlight on these animals and honor them in the form of memes and tweets! If you're feeling that these memes didn't provide you with the satisfaction you need, perhaps you would enjoy some crabby memes instead?

Cowmoonication: New Study Finds Cows Express Their Feelings With Different Sound of Moos

A study published last month in Nature's Scientific Reports found that cows' "voices are individually distinct," and that "they're able to maintain these individual characteristics across the contexts". The research team hopes that "through gaining knowledge of these vocalizations, farmers will be able to tune into the emotional state of their cattle, improving animal welfare".

13 Pics Of Calves In Earmuffs To Protect Them From Frostbite

These earmuffs may look adorable but they serve a very important purpose. The calves must be protected from the cold as it can lead to severe frostbite, hypothermia, and even death. These muffs help protect from the wind chill.

According to Dr. W. Dee Whittier, Bovine Specialist at the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences, wrote in a paper titled 'Calves and the Cold', "Frostbite is the damage to body tissues that occurs when these tissues freeze. The extremities are most at risk. Frozen ears and tails result in changes of cattle appearance but do not affect cattle performance significantly."

Dr. Whittier continues, "Newborn calves are most at risk because they are wet and because they have a large surface area in relation to their total body mass. Calves are not fully capable of maintaining temperature the first several hours of life. Newborn calves have a circulatory system that is less able to respond to cold changes as compared to more mature animals."

Turns out, when it comes to detecting frostbite, if the ear-tips are frozen, there's a high chance that the feet are experiencing some damage as well.

If that does occur, Dr. Whittier recommends to thaw the tissues as quickly as possible. And once the tissues are thawed, you must prevent re-freezing from occurring. Which means housing with heat for several days. Damaged tissues are more prone to re-freeze and can do so very easily.

Girl Shared a Video Of Her Dad Playing The Sax For Cows And We're In Love

Rick Herrmann lives in Oregon and a few days ago, he gave a very wholesome sunset saxophone performance for a bunch of cows. yes, you heard that right. Herrmann started learning how to play the saxophone seven months ago, after years of longing. His wife had the brilliant idea to try out his new talent for a field of local cows. It was truly pretty magical, as you can see from the tweets by his daughter, Erin. What we have learned from this story is that even cows love "Careless Whisper".
