Beware: Cockatoos In Australia Have Officially Learned How To Open Trash Bins

You've probably heard of baby-proofing your space, maybe even cat-proofing it, but have you ever considered that there might be a need to cockatoo-proof your garbage bins? Well, if you're living in Australia, we think you're about to consider it.

We have always known that cockatoos were kind of jerks. Why else would cockatoos go around biting kangaroo tails to get to their food? But now... now, we're officially scared. Because these cockatoos are getting smarter, and apparently, they have developed the ability to open up trash bins in masses.

Read more of the story, check out pics of the robberies and even a video below!

Okay, so, to be completely real with you all, one of our favorite things ever is animals being total jerks. Like, yeah, we don't love seeing animals bullying other animals or ourselves but... it's also super duper hilarious.

So far, we had jerk parrot messing with the family dog, the jerk peacock always running around yelling and petrifying everyone, and of course, the jerks who never stop being jerks - cats, and many, many more. The latest jerks in our growing collection are yet again birds - this time they're cockatoos biting the tips of the tails of kangaroos to stealing their food.

The kangaroos are too to do anything to these wild cockatoos so they just take the bullying and hop away, and that's already funny, but the humans being as done with the cockatoos as they are? Yeah, that's definitely our favorite part.

Have you ever seen a bird dancing perfectly on beat to music? Well, you're about to, and your heart is going to melt so hard. Meet Griffi, the rescued featherless dancing cockatoo, who has an enormous love for music. Griffi is the ultimate proof that being different should never stop you from being happy and gettin' down to some music.

We have previously seen Griffi dancing and singing to MJ, and now, we're giving her some love again by watching her get down with some Biggie music. She is one of the happiest birds we have ever seen. This is the moment you fall in love with a bird, ladies and gentlemen, so prepare yourselves.

Sometimes, when your favorite song comes up out of nowhere, no matter you are, you're gonna wanna jam. Apparently, that is a universal feeling, because when this insanely adorable featherless bird heard its favorite Michael Jackson song come on, its life turned into a whole dance party.

Not only does this cockatoo dance to the beat of the music perfectly, it also manages to add its own adlibs and basically created a whole choreography to the song on its own. It's amazing. Bird are so hilarious, and these kinds of videos only ever make us love them more than before.

Tumblr Thread: Cockatoo Rocking Out To Metal Music

Some animals like music, that's something that we've noticed. Cats falling asleep when music is playing, doggos head-bopping to music, but a cockatoo? We have yet to see something like that. And this cockatoo specifically might be the most punk rock, coolest cockatoo ever. He's has a haircut cooler than yours, he's more intimidating than any of us by far, and his sense of rhythm is superior to all of us

Now, there's speculation about whether this is real or if the music was added after, but considering the fact that cockatoos are knows for their drumming skills in the wild, performing elaborate drumming patterns when trying to attract females, odds are that this is very real. And this birb is amazing

When you have poor social skills but try to make friends anyway. This cockatoo just wants to fit into the cool cat crew that he's living with! Not only does the cockatoo meow at the cats, when one cat got too close, you can also hear the bird hiss at it. True feline language has been mastered by this smart birdie! If those cats were confused as to why this other weird-looking "cat" was meowing at them, that hiss would've solidified him being one of them.

Good job, Sir Cockatoo, we are thoroughly impressed by your dedication to infiltrate the feline crew.
