Time for your daily dose of cuteness! This time, we're showcasing adorable fluffy creatures (cats) turning themselves into perfect fluffy balls (circle cats). I mean, we all know that cats are flexible, and we have seen them lie in truly strange positions and places over time. 

Cats generally love circles, we know that for sure. But they have the most unique ability to turn themselves in a perfect circle - head right up to the butt. And it's adorable. Come on, you can't tell me you've never cooed and immediately snapped a picture when your cat did the turning into a ball thing. And some animals are so round they just... are balls. 

Roaming through the wasteland of Twitter, looking for the cutest animals that would fill your stomach with butterflies yet again, we came across something that we absolutely had to share. A thread of round animals by @effies who not only found some of the roundest fluffiest most circular animals on the internet but captioned each one of them with an adorable comment as well. There was no way to stop the 'aww's once they started. 

Other Twitter users, of course, loved this thread as well, and the participation in it was astrounding, with each picture getting thousands of likes and other users sending pictures of their own circles of joy as well. So, we hope you enjoy this circular journey as much as we did, starting with cute and ending with cute. And if this isn't enough roundness for you, here's some more.

These stray cats were spotted in front of one of the market's stores, proving that cats can follow social distancing protocol better than human beings...

 We always knew cats are ahead of us, humans.  

By now, it may be common knowledge to us that if you were to draw (or create) a circle, your cat will appear and place itself within that circle for an extended period of time. 

Why? There are a few theories to this, one possible explanation of the phenomenon could be instincts brought on by cats' desire for warmth. When you see a cat sleeping in a circle, they do so to converse body heat. Cats could be drawn to circles because the circle subconsciously makes them think they will be warm inside.

Another explanation is "boundaries." In an article by Deni Kirkova, cats love boundaries, And when they come across a spot demarcated by a circle, they would feel psychologically comfortable being in a space which they can see. 

There's also always the theory of curiosity being thrown in the mix, a cat is nothing but curious. 

What do you think the ancient dark arts behind this phenomenon is? Perhaps it's something deeper that we humans would never understand.
