Japanese Sculptor Isana Yamada Creates Breathtaking Translucent Whales

Isana Yamada, a postgraduate student created these 6 translucent whales to signify the 6 realms of Buddhism. The whales are swimming in a circle, which represents the six stages of Samsara. And within each of these whales, there are various objects such as: a submarine, volcano, sailboat, and a sea of clouds. The title of the piece is "Rinne Samsara", which is a Buddhist term for "cycle of existence".

Whale done.

So I've been doing this with my newfound monk-friend for a while now, and I think I'm pretty much certain of something: This guy has to have been a tiger in a past life. He just... he understands me, you know? And he always cooks his rice JUST the way I like it. Humans can be difficult, it's true, but I'm quite enamored with this one. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna let him play with my cubs someday, if I ever have any.
