Black cats - the most underappreciated and misunderstood little fluffballs of joy. We know better than to fall for the stereotypes though. Black cats are as amazing, cute, adorable, joyful and purrfect as any other cat, and of course, just as worthy of love as any other cat. 

We try to give love to as many animals as possible here, and black cats sure do deserve some extra appreciation every once in a while. And what better way to appreciate these beauties and showcase how silly and adorable they can be than some bleps? Specifically, adorable tiny bleps of darkness that it's impossible not to love.

The most elusive blep strikes again! And this time, it's the pristine doggo side-blep. It may appear when your doggo is particularly happy or particularly sleepy, but it is always, always worth a picture. 

This makes the next entry into our blep competition, previous attended by foxes, large cats, and your regular domesticated cats. Though the crown seems to still be held firmly in the paws of our little felines, these dog cuties truly do give them a run for their wet food.

There's a reason that all of us cat lovers also have a special place in our hearts for big cats, and it is that all big cats are basically regular cats... enlarged. They have the same faces - just bigger, they are just as silly - just bigger, and they have the same habits... just bigger. 

And so, their bleps are also... bigger. And though in this case, bigger is not necessarily better, it is definitely just as cute. Regular cat bleps are some of our favorite all time cat pictures, but they're, of course, not the only animals who can do the blep. Foxes are already strong blepping competition, and now, the big cats are officially entering the race too. You be the judge deciding who you think is the master of the blep. 

Ah the blep... one of our favorite animal phenomena. The true masters of blep are, of course, cats. That's inarguable. But! Did you know that foxes do the bleps too? Oh, yes, they do. 

And if we may say so ourselves, they might just be a worthy runner up for the Blep Master crown. It's not an easy feat. Even competing is an achievement. Cats have been purrfecting the blep since the dawn of cat. But... look at these foxes and tell us that they're not worthy competitors - impossible.  

May these foxy bleps bless your weekend. They definitely brought some joy to our day. Because truly, is there anything more bleping wonderful some happy, derpy foxes performing the elusive act of the blep? 

The blep. One of the ultimate expressions of cat cuteness. Right alongside a cat squeezing its head in their sleep. That elusive little tongue peek that is cherished by every cat owner. The moment we all try to commemorate with a picture, moving slowly as to not startle them, to not destroy this perfection, diving for our phones in slow motion as if we're action movie start scarifying ourselves by covering the bomb with our bodies. Anything. Whatever it takes to save that moment forever.

The belp. Some owners are luckier than most and have caught this moment. We are sharing these precious moments with you right now. 

Bleps. That special moment when you're cat is caught off guard and a teeny tiny (literally itty bitty) piece if their tongue is shown. 

To them it's nothing, to us...it's everything. 

Why? Because it's crazy cute! And luckily because it's so cute, there is a subreddit devoted to just that. Bleps. No joke, it's even called r/bleps/

But let's be totally honest. Everything cats do is just crazy cute, and yes even when they very nonchalantly show off their "murder mittens"

It's two of our favorite elements put together -- black cats and bleps! 

Meet Zimes! Zimes the cat has a permanent blep. 

The cause of the permanent blep is due to a very sad story. His owner, Margot, wrote on Zimes 'About Me' section, on Facebook, "Zimes was a stray cat who got attacked by a pitbull dog, the dog was released by his owner to hurt cats. the attack caused him to lose half of his lower jaw, and this is why his tongue is always hanging outside like this. even though Zimes went through hell and saw the real face of evil, he is now happy, healthy and loved. he is living with 3 more street survivors. 2 of them are blind."

While we are so saddened that such an awful thing like this could happen, we're also so glad Zimes is in such a caring and loving home! 

Margot continues, "I love rescuing animals with special needs, to give them a chance for a happy life. this fills my soul and heart with gratitude, love and happiness, cause there is no greater love then the love of a rescued animal."

We're currently obsessed with an exotic shorthair cat that goes by the name Ikiru. 

Why are we obsessed, you might ask? Scroll down and see for yourself! You'll understand. 

According to Ikiru's Instagram page, he loves fish and was named after a Kurosawa film. He also like to "lie upside-down and create mischief."

Could Ikiru be any more of a lady-killer? The answer is no.

Melissa is a Scottish Fold who has been diagnosed with Osteochondrodysplasia.

According to the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW), "Osteochondrodysplasia is a developmental abnormality that affects cartilage throughout the body. It is this that causes the abnormal ear shape in Scottish fold cats."

However, this condition isn't the reason for Melissa's famous blep. Melissa was also diagnosed with a "bone degenerative disorder which means she has an underdeveloped lower jaw," writes the Daily Mail. 

Melissa currently resides with her owner Alina Esther in Volgograd, Russia.

The condition contributes to Melissa's unique and quirky looks -- which has gathered a following of more than 50k followers on Instagram! 

She truly is the queen of blep, and what a cute queen she is!
