It's weird to think there are creatures and animals on this Earth that we may have never seen before. But honestly, it's sso very likely that you don't know all the living on this mysterious planet. There's no way to really know because some creatures (such as in the deep blue ocean) have YET to be discovered!

So, the idea of there being living things we haven't seen before isn't so far fetched. Yet, it's always surprising when you see a land animal for the first time. We've never heard of a humphead parrotfish or a worm-eating giant snail before. Amazing how much there is to learn and to see, it's never-ending.

'Male' Owl Shocks Staff At Owl Santuarcy By Laying An Egg

'Hoo' knew?! The owl known as Kaln, is actually a female! Kaln first arrived at Gloucester's Barn Owl Centre as a chick in 1996, and the bird's gender had never actually been checked because the bird was so healthy, according to Vincent Jones, who set up the centre.

"You should have seen his face after he laid it. You should have seen our faces," Mr Jones said.

The staff plans to change Kaln's name to Kalnee in recognition of his newly discovered gender.

Cats are at a crucial point in their evolutionary journey as they transform from solitary hunters to domestic pets, a study by the BBC and the Royal Veterinary College has revealed. Our felines are adapting quickly to life in densely-packed cities, changing their behaviour to fit in with our 21st Century lives. They are time-sharing territory with other cats, killing less prey and learning to communicate with each other and people, research for BBC Two's Cat Watch 2014 found. Here is how our felines experience the world.
