So we all know that, for some totally weird reason, it's a thing for dads to pretend as if they don't love the new pets we bring home. It's a tale as old as time, starting with the dads arguing against bringing the pets home in the first place, followed by them pretending they hate the fur ball when you adopt it anyway, and then... somehow, you catch them taking selfies together.

It always happens, and it's always wholesome, and our resident cat dad captures that purrfectly in this new original animation. He should know, considering that he brought in not one but two new kittens home.

Everyone knows that cats and dogs do not tend to get along. That's the stereotype, right? Most people are not aware that, especially if introduced to each other at a young age, cats and dogs can end up being total BFFs, hanging out together, sleeping next to each other, cuddling and even grooming each other.

Thankfully, our resident animation cat dad knows better than that, and @sleepyskele's newest animation captures just that process of kitten meets huge doggo with fear and then, over time, with love.

When one brings a new baby to a home full of animals, there is always some level of worry. We want our animals to love our babies; we want to see out cats cuddling our babies and our dogs cuddling our babies too. We want them to grow up to be best friends, but we can't help but be worried. Thankfully, most times, it seems that these precious first meetings lead to just that.

The newest ICanHasCheezburger original animation by @sleepyskele portrays just that moment - the first meetings in the best possible version of them. It's an animation that will make you smile and want to being home a baby/an animal for your baby lol.

We, as cat owners, believe that every single cat owner out there has wondered what in the heck do cats do in the middle of the night. We know they're not sleeping. We wake up to the mayhem in the morning that is the shenanigans they were up to at night. Something must be happening, but we have no idea of knowing what it is.

As imagined by the cats of the truest of all cat lovers, @sleepyskele, ICanHasCheezburger presents an original animation all about the wonders of cat night-time shenanigans. After seeing this, you will have a much better idea of why the heck you woke up to random socks strewn about your house.

We've all heard the tale-old story of a cat getting stuck in a tree and heroic and amazing firefighters coming to rescue the little guy. When that happens, we are normally so nervous, trying in every way that we can to help the cat down, no matter how long it takes. But what happens if the cat has chosen to go up there on purpose, just to nap and have a good time high up in the tree? You think it might need rescuing, but sometimes, they do not.

Check out the newest ICanHasCheezburger original animation, in which this ferocious little kitten doesn't need rescuing from anyone. It's an anmation that encompasses being a cat in the most accurate way ever.

Tweets Of Terribly But Hilariously Animated Animals

Have you ever watched an animated movie, and you're sitting there, enjoying yourself, and then one of the worst, most terrifying-looking animal comes onto the screen and you feel like you've fallen into a different dimension? Well, twitter users are going through this existential crisis today, and we think it's so funny.

For some reason, movie animators have a tendency to try to make animals look more "attractive" or more "realistic" by giving them human features, and they always miss their goal by a mile and a half. And give us nightmares in the process. At least these animated animals are funny to laugh at though.

When you think of human things that confuse the heck out of our cats, one of the most obvious ones is the vacuum. It is a monster that screams and eats at the same time. What can a cat do when it watches this monster eating two of his cat toys at once without effort? Enough running, the only choice is to fight... or is it? Maybe it's better to be cautious and run again.

This week's animation captures the eternal struggle between a cat and the vacuum cleaner. You may think that with enough time, your kitty will realize that the danger has passed, and maybe that's true buuuuut... today is not the day.

Technology is amazing. It helps us in our everyday lives with so many things. But for our cats... it is a tiny bit confusing. Sitting and staring at the same strange light square every single day for hours instead of giving them attention? No wonder they love sitting on our laptops as much as they do. Well, that, and our laptops are warm and basically act as butt-heaters for them.

This week's animation of Earnie encapsulates the eternal struggle between cats and technology. And confused as he may be, this time, Earnie is winning.

Oh... when a cat meets a dog. It's a tale as old as time. From hate and hissing to very slowly and reluctantly accepting the fact that... it feels kinda nice to cuddle the pup and also, the puppy gives pretty good ear baths if you let it. So... it's love! Just reluctant love.

Let's be real, we all know how different cats and dogs are, so it's not surprising that it's difficult for them to get along. That just makes it all the more heartwarming when they do. This week's animation captures exactly that, and don't worry, it ends just as sweetly as you'd hope it to.

How is it February already? And how is it that Valentine's Day is around the corner? We feel like we're still back in March of 2020 and completely unprepared for the celebration of love this year. Yet, time stops for no one and we are here, with Valentine's Day right around the corner.

At least we have a new Simon's cat special to commemorate the occasion! The new special is called, "Perfect Pitch," and Simon's Cat tries his absolute best to serenade the lovely Chloe, in honor of the day of love.

All we can say is that, when Simon's cat said "Meow meow meeeeowwww," we really felt that.

Snow might look beautiful, but it is... unexpectedly cold. At least to our adorable senior kitty, Earnie, who is meeting it for the first time. Cat vs. snow: the madness continues, and it's time to nope the heck out of there and run back home. You can decide If you think Earnie won this round. He definitely thinks that he did.

Check out this week's animation of Earnie taking on his biggest challenge yet - the beautiful welcoming blanket of the EVIL white snow - and immediately saying nope, nope, nope, nope-

A meeting like no other - your amazing, beautiful, affectionate cat with the.. rude, aloof, unfriendly, traitorous copycat in the mirror. The concept of a mirror is, of course, a foreign one to our genius feline fluffballs, and the first meetings between the "two" cats are ALWAYS iconic.

Check out this week's animation of Earnie having its first ever encounter with the cat in the mirror, and it goes... just about as hilariously as you think it would. A worthy opponent, this copycat, always knows exactly what Earnie is planning on doing just before Earnie does it.

You may look at your bathroom and see a place where you clean yourself, but for you cat, that room is basically a torture chamber. The sink is a slip-and-slide, the toilet is a water bowl that they should DEFINITELY not drink from (they've smelled it, they understand), and the bath they will only be curious about once. Only once.

Check out this week's animation of our favorite senior cat - Earnie - where he discovers the bathroom for the first time. In the battle between Earnie and the water... the water wins.

Getting used to your new forever home is never an easy task, especially for an older cat. But with a loving family who only want the best for the kitty, eventually, even the most stubborn and scared cat will learn to love its forever parents. It's just a matter of love, gentle pets, and patience.

Check out this week's animation of Earnie's diary, where he slowly but surely learns to trust his new family. And prepare the happy crying tissues, because this is something that every cat owner and lover out there will relate to: the process all the way from the hiss, to the first touch, to them scratching you out because they can't stop kneading you. It's love, guys.

For us, adoption day is always a happy day. We get to pick up our favorite little furball and take them to their new forever home where they'll be loved and cherished for the rest of their lives. But what does adoption look like through the eyes of the kitty itself, especially when it's an older kitty who has been in the shelter for a while, waiting for its new family? Allow Earnie - our resident senior cat - to show you.

All of our dedicated readers have already heard of Meowmoirs, but for those of you who are new: Meowmoirs is a diary written by our resident senior cat who's name is Earnie. He goes through endless intense and world-changing adventures, writing about a new one every single week. Of course, his whole adventure starts with his adoption day. If you wanna read more of his thoughts about it, his reactions to the new home and his new family, read the full entry right here

If you have multiple cats, you may resonate with this animation. If you don't have multiple cats, this is what you're missing out on! Yes, the late-night brings a lot of terrors, mostly in the form of zoomies, furniture destruction, plant chewing, and the occasional poop nugget. As chaotic as it may all seem, in the end, it doesn't truly matter because we have these adorable creatures in our lives to adore.
