The US gave them a run (HA!) for their money, but Jamaica proved their sprinting dominance. Usain Bolt, Jamaica's anchor (last runner in the relay) snagged his third gold medal in the London games.

It all came down to an anchor sprint between Tyson Gay and Usain Bolt. For about four seconds it they were neck and neck -- and then Bolt remembered he was the fastest man in history. He easily pulled ahead to finish Jamaica's relay with a time of 36.85 seconds.

This marks Bolt's sixth Olympic gold.

Usain Bolt is well-known for his post-victory antics, but the pushups are definitely a new addition. Also check out Wenlock shuffling into position to do God-knows-what to poor Usain.

Looks like the fastest man in the world will retain his double-gold crown in the 100 and 200m, as Usain Bolt cruised to victory in 19.32 seconds today.

The Jamaicans came away with a clean sweep, as Yohan Blake and Warren Weir took 2nd and 3rd respectively.

After finishing, Bolt was up to usual antics, dropping to the ground to do pushups followed by him commandeering a camera to point it at the flood of photographers that surrounded him.

Wenlock then gifted Bolt with yet another golden plush effigy as he led the Jamaican sprinter off. No reports yet on whether or not Bolt's been seen since, but we assume the part-time Olympic mascot and fulltime hellbeast is looking to perform some sort of Space Jam-esque talent-thieving ritual.

Racing Every Olympic 100 Meter Champion All At Once

We've come a long way in the 100 meters since the 1896 Athens Games. And by "a long way" I of course mean "three seconds faster than the first 100 meter champions."

In all fairness though, three seconds represents an eternity in a race that goes by in the blink of an eye.

In what was a legendary 100m race, Usain Bolt set an Olympic record, winning the titanic showdown with the greatest sprinters the world has ever seen in a time of 9.63 seconds.

This 100-meter matchup was the first time in history that the four fastest men in the world were in a single race together, and the result did not disappoint. Bolt stumbled early out of the box but eventually surged to victory ahead Jamaican teammate Yohan Blake and American Justin Gatlin.

Said Bolt after his race,

When it comes to the championships, I'm all about business and I brought it.
