We mentioned a few days ago that Olympic athlete Gus Kenworthy decided to take home with him to Colorado four puppies and their mother after discovering them homeless in Russia and he wasn't kidding. It turns out that the skier is having some trouble getting the necessary paperwork in order for the long trip home. A U.S. skiing official reported that Kenworthy had to push back his plans to return home in order to solidify the adoption.
It turns out that the 22-year-old silver medalist has many admirers for his devotion to the dogs in need. Miley Cyrus tweeted to him Sunday:
The cats of The Hermitage aren't the only famous felines in St. Petersburg, Russia anymore!
Cats Republic is a café with a twist: it has resident kittehs for patrons to play with every time they visit! To make sure no harm befalls these friendly felines, visitors are required to apply for a Visa in order to be granted entry into the coffee/cat haven.
Regulars have "adopted" their favorite cats among the resident bunch of kitties, and there's even a wall where visitors can measure their height in cats! Sounds like a pretty darling place to grab a drink, if you ask me!
