I know you're a long way from home and look very confused right now, but don't worry widdle walrus! It's going to be alright.
We rescued Tia Maria (right) from a factory when she was barely weaned. Our older cat, Sushi, took her under her wing and completely mothered her, even though Sushi is spayed and has never had any babies. Two and a half years later, they still sleep, play and groom together. It's difficult to see in these photos, but the tabby patch on Sushi's side forms a heart :)
This is our 5 week old kitten, Vette. My brother (a mechanic), was at work when someone started up the engine of a Corvette. Instantly, they started hearing worried little meows. They cut the engine off and found a small kitten, covered in grease. No one volunteered to take her home, so he showed up after work with this small, grease-covered kitten in his arms. We happily added this new pet to our household.
This 200lb orphaned baby Walrus was rescued last Saturday by some local fisherman in Barrow, Alaska, and the little guy has since been transported to the Alaskan SeaLife Center for care and rehabilitation. Here's hoping he grows up happy and healthy!
