NatureGeek24 says: "His name is Hoover, even though he's hardly bigger than a Dustbuster. He is a Yorkie/Lhasa mix who picked me and got rescued from the local C.A.R.E. shelter."

Love at first site, huh? Animals can be very intuitive, Hoover knew you'd make a good fur-parent!

Our submitter says: "This is my little baby, Opus. She's approximately 3 weeks old in this photo. I had rescued her just a few days prior, her mother had kept abandoning her at my own mom's front porch. It wasn't a good place for her and her health was dwindling. I brought her home with me and she's now a healthy 6 month old terror!"

The terror is worth it, I'm sure!

MommaV says: "My husband and I went to our local shelter looking for a pitbull to adopt and this little lady's personality really stood out to us. Friendly, but not overly exited, loving, but not too kissy. We brought her home and she quickly became part of the family. Just look at that squee little face!"

That is the happiest pitbull/dachshund doggie I have ever seen!

A story that will pull at your heartstrings - historical context for this squee picture below.

"Accepting her fate as an orphan of war, 'Miss Hap' a two-week old Korean kitten chows down on canned milk, piped to her by medicine dropper with the help of Marine Sergeant Frank Praytor ... The Marine adopted the kitten after its mother was killed by a mortar barrage near Bunker Hill. The name, Miss Hap, Sergeant Praytor explained, was given to the kitten 'because she was born at the wrong place at the wrong time'." - Korea, ca 1953
