This splendid white peahen is quite the diva, outshining even the most outrageous showgirl. I'd go see her perform in Las Vegas anytime!

Someday this squee squirt will have a beautiful headdress. Today it's a bit of a bedhead situation, but I think that's even cuter!

Seriously, why did biologists/linguists/etc. ever think "fowl" was a fair term for all kinds of squee bird friends? It's a word that sounds far too close to another word that does not describe them in any way at all!

Squee lovers, the winners of this week's Squee Spree contest are itty bitty peafowl babies! And this squee little peachick proves a long-held suspicion of mine to be perfectly true: Even without the fully-fledged plumage they develop later in life, baby peacocks still know how to strut!

Squee lovers, this week's Squee Spree contest features two close cousins of the fluffy and feathered kind!

In the plentifully-plumed-when-older corner, we have darling little peacock tots! And in the phun with phonetics corner, we have darling little pheasant chicks!

Let us know which animal you want by taking the poll!
