Hospitals In Scotland Use Miniature Therapy Ponies To Help Sick Children

Just imagine this unusual scene at a local hospital ward:  A tiny horse is standing by a bed, nuzzling the young patient's hand, while in the corridor outside, another pony is towing a laughing child along in a wheelchair.

Meet the very special miniature therapy ponies who bring joy to sick and disabled children as well as elderly patients and dementia sufferers across Scotland.

OMIGOSH! What an amazing thing to do for a little girl! This made my day :) From Seattle Children's Hospital:

Maga is a cat-loving teen patient with cancer at Seattle Children's Hospital. She's had to be in the hospital many times, and during her stays what she misses most is her own cat Merry. We asked our Facebook fans to share their favorite cat photos with us, and got an awesome response -- 3,000+ photos! We used these pictures to create this "cat immersion" for Maga -- an audio/visual experience to bring thousands of "virtual" cats to Maga's room.

Our thoughts are with you, Maga!
