Artist Creates Beautiful Finely Cut Paper Art Illustrations of Spirit Animals

Kanako Abe creates stunning works of art using non other than a sharp X-Acto knife. Yes, that is right. These are not drawn by pen. They are all paper cutouts. She regularly demonstrates this via her Instagram, which is full of delicate creations inspired by the outdoors. Kanako's natural eye and patience creates unbelievable perfectly imperfect lines that have a lyrical fluidity to them, so it's actually very hard to see if they are made from ink or cutout.

These Large-Scaled Finger Paintings of Vibrant Animals in Action Are Stunning

Remember those days of just nap times and finger painting when you were a kid? Ya, we don't either. But Iris Scott is about to change all of that! Not only is she out to prove that not only children can enjoy the fun art activity but, also a viable way to produce stunning works of art! For years, the Brooklyn-based creative has broken the barrier between herself and the canvas by creating elaborate, colorful paintings using her hand in place of a brush!

Iris Scott's book, Finger Painting Weekend Workshop, invites anyone to try this type of Impressionist art

Smoothie Artist Creates Delicate Drawings of Animals Out of Superfoods

We love smoothies! All the yummy fruits and even veggies sometimes! But how can anyone take smoothies to the next level? Well, first it was blending in superfoods... now it's creating masterpieces out of those superfood right on top of the smoothie!

Hazel Zakariya, the New Zealand-based artist told Vogue, "It all started with a happy accident...I was trying to garnish my soup with coconut cream swirls, but it didn't turn out as planned, so I added some pesto and created a tree." And thus... an idea was born!

Since then, Zakariya has created amazing works of art that not only look incredible, but taste amazing and are super healthy for you! We decided to take a casual scroll through her Instagram feed (which has amassed more than 20,000 followers), we were totally taken away by her amazing skills!

This Artist Built More Than 3,500 Birdhouses On The Streets Of Copenhagen

With his Happy City Birds project, the street artist and designer Thomas Dambo has built more than 3,500 birdhouses on the streets of Copenhagen. Started in 2006, this project aims to fight the disappearance of trees by recreating habitats for birds with beautiful decorated urban trees. These Urban Bird Houses are made from recycled wood and then installed by Thomas Dambo in the streets, parks, or facades of Copenhagen. A useful and poetic project! I just love it. vIA: Ufunk

Tableware Turned Into Art Inspired By Animals

Nuria Blanco is a spanish designer who created a collection of tableware inspired by zoo animals, thus named the Zoo Series, or Zoo Collection. The plates do not just have animals painted on them. The feature that should not be overlooked about this tableware and that makes it even more awesome, is how they are arranged in such a fashion that gives shape to the animals depicted and makes their painting seem more vivid.
