Braveharlot says: "This baby Yak was orphaned by his mother, so I rescued him and brought him inside to try and keep him alive. He was about ten-days-old in this shot. He's now a rambunctious two-month-old, but it was pretty hit or miss for the first few days. He ended up with the name "Squeaky" because he made sad, little, squeaking noises whenever he got hungry."

Awwww poor widdle orphaned Yak! Don't worry Squeaky, now you have a loving home. I hope you never have to be alone again <3

Audrey says: "This is my rescue cat, Zelda. She was abused as a kitten, I found her trying to run away. She ran towards me, I grabbed her up and ever since that day in 2009, I have never let anything happen to her."

Looks like she found you! She must be so happy in your loving home.

dysonr88 says This little girl was found during a thunderstorm. She was wet and shaking, and she let us pick her up and bring her inside. She has a broken leg, but she is all patched up and on the road to recovery.

We rescued Tia Maria (right) from a factory when she was barely weaned. Our older cat, Sushi, took her under her wing and completely mothered her, even though Sushi is spayed and has never had any babies. Two and a half years later, they still sleep, play and groom together. It's difficult to see in these photos, but the tabby patch on Sushi's side forms a heart :)
