In February, The Monterey Bay Aquarium's Sea Otter Program found a stranded sea otter pup. They launched a rescue mission for the baby otter named 696 who will be cared for until he's old enough and strong enough to be released into the wild. The otter pup is getting stronger every day, watch his progress in these adorable videos.
The Virginia Aquarium is inviting you to help name its newly adopted male Otter pup. The cute creature was found alone near St. George, S.C., apparently abandoned by his mother and only days old. During the rescue and in subsequent stabilization period, he became dependent upon human care, so he was deemed unable to be released into the wild. He is now under the watchful care of Virginia Aquarists and thriving.
