I guess maybe that's the echidna cuteness equation? The shorter the beak, the bigger the squee? But then again long-beaked echidnas are adorable too... so perhaps my calculations could use some tweaking.
It's time to go down under and compare the squee between two of kind! The echidna and platypus are the only two animals that are monotremes or mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth. Given this unique trait, we see it only fit to ask you which of these two cuties has the most squee!
Squee Spree: Which Will it be?
For this week's Squee Spree face-off we have two strangely squee creatures, the Echidna (top) and the Pangolin (bottom). The Echidna is one of the only egg-laying mammals in the world and is also known as the spiny anteater, while the Pangolin is the only mammal to grow scales made of keratin all over its body!
